So I decided to do a zen doodle, no thinking about it, just allowing the pen to flow across the paper. The result – a slightly graffiti style drawing of little bean creatures.
If any one tries it, let me know! I’d love to see your doodles 🙂 it’s fun and actually incredibly relaxing
Another sketch book pen drawing.
It’s great to just doodle and draw without thinking. Usually this results in the creation of some sort of fantasy creature – more often than not it’s fairies!
Painted this again on a whim, when I wanted to stop thinking so much about everything. Just let this flow out of my head, and ended up with a tree growing out of hers!
I was going through a spell of anxiety at the time I painted this. I painted it on a whim one day to try and express how I was feeling.
I never feel blue when I look at it because in a way, it reminds me that it’s ok to feel that way sometimes.
I think this painting is incredibly weird!
I love seeing the different reactions to it good and bad, surprised and confused. Maybe that’s why I find it so comforting, because it also reminds me that weirdness and uniqueness is what makes the world so interesting 🙂
This was inspired by a dream I had, after watching Edward Scissor Hands. I love that movie!
It’s kind of a self portrait. Drawn using charcoal and marker, with watercolour paints.
This woman is out, at a club. Inspired when I was on a night out recently. It’s a work in progress. The shadows and her expression are left up to interpretation.
What do you think?
